Gardens at Gunby Hall to open

A STATELY home’s historic gardens will be opened up to the public as part of the National Gardens Scheme.

Gunby Hall’s eight acres of formal and walled gardens, featuring old roses, herbaceous borders, fruit trees and much more, will be open on Saturday, August 18 from 11am to 5pm.

The National Trust property near Spilsby was referred to by Alfred Lord Tennyson as his ‘haunt of ancient peace’.

Admission: £4, £2 children.
