Egg producer celebrates Stock Exchange accolade

An Alford based egg producer is celebrating success for the second year running as one of a select group of businessess recognised by the London Stock Exchange.

L J Fairburn & Son is included in ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2015’ a celebration of some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized enterprises (SME) in the UK.

It is the second consecutive year the company has been included in the Stock Exchange Group’s report, joining a rich and varied list of businesses that are considered shining examples of great British SME’s.

As well as identifying 1,000 companies, the report examines in detail the opportunities and challenges facing businesses and looks at the sectors and trends that will shape the future of the UK economy.

To receive such outstanding recognition, L J Fairburn & Son Limited demonstrated positive revenue growth over the last five years, increased employee numbers and work space and made significant infrastructural investments. In addition, the business has also secured major national retail contracts.
