A HOUSING construction company from Skegness has been involved with two prestigious industry award nominations, recognising its high standards of development.
Manorcrest Homes has been short-listed in the 2011 British Home BuildQuality Awards, for its Lumley Fields housing development.
The development, which is still expanding into land near Churchill Avenue, Skegness, has been nominated in the medium development category.
The award recognises high build quality in construction and elevates the development to the industry’s ‘Champions League’.
The Skegness housing developers, working in partnership with a Nottinghamshire engineering company, has also been highly commended for a pioneering new housing development in Lincoln.
Director of Manorcrest Homes Leigh Hall said: “I am very pleased that we have been recognised in this way.
“We are delighted with Van Elle and the work they have carried out - ours was a difficult project and receiving highly commended at this awards ceremony shows the value of engineers in getting this project off the ground.”
The Carline Road development utilised innovative engineering techniques to transform a piece of land that had been left undeveloped for years due to its awkward slope.
Following the stabilising techniques implemented to make the land suitable for construction, Manorcrest has been ‘overwhelmed’ by prospective homeowners who are hoping to move into the prime location overlooking Lincoln city centre.
