Coastal business representatives and political figures have welcomed the arrival of a £250,000 digital technology fund.
The funding, awarded to Lincolnshire county Council following a bid submitted by the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership, is open to retail, industry, and hospitality sectors along the coast to purchase beneficial digital equipment.
The LEP’s coastal champion Doreen Stephenson said: “This is wonderful news for businesses along the coast and an opportunity that must be seized.”
Together with the council’s investment in better broadband, it is hoped the funding will enhance business opportunities.
MP for Boston and Skegness Mark Simmonds said he was ‘delighted’ by the new, which he hopes Skegness will ‘benefit greatly’ from.
