Laver Leisure in Ingoldmells has hailed the green fingers of its caravan residents.

The site has named the winners in its latest annual ‘Lavers in Bloom’ competition. The competition was set up last year in recongition of the many customers who take pride in their plots by enhancing them with plants and flowers.

“It has been a great success with more people taking part this year than last,” said a spokesperson. “We asked Stephen Clow from Lyndhurst Garden Centre to judge the competition. He chose a winner and four runners up.”

The winners were announced on Thursday, when the judges went along to present the winners with a bottle of Champagne and £100 garden centre voucher.

Winners Mr & Mrs Hollingsworth said: “We were both highly delighted and surprised to hear we had won, we enjoy growing and tending to our flower display as the fellow caravanners love to admire the display as they walk past.”
