Skegness Live and Learn Community Group, who held several events in Tower Gardens last year, has received a grant of £2,345 from the Lincolnshire Community Foundation and the Dulverton Trust towards the purchase of a trailer.

Coun Maggie Gray, one of the organisers, said: “We would like to thank Sue Fortune of the Lincolnshire Community Foundation and the Dulverton Trust for their very generous grant of £2,345 towards the purchase of a trailer.

“This will be used to transport and store our market stalls to our fundraising events to be held in Tower Gardens, Skegness, over the coming months.

“We are also appreciative of Skegness Town Council for their grant of £900 to buy the stalls and Sid Dennis and Sons for their support in the purchase of our advertising leaflets.

“All events will be raising money for local charitable organisations”

The next fundraiser will be an auction at the New Park Club in Scarborough Avenue, Skegness, on April 1.

Goods to be brought from 10am-12noon with viewing from 12noon to 4pm, Auction 7.30pm.
