Hoteliers are being warned to be vigilant after scammers are believed to have targeted a business in the Skegness area.
PCSO Dave Bunker, of the Skegness Neighbourhood Policing Team, said police have received a report that a person, possibly from Spain, booked a hotel room and then, shortly before the arrival date, contacted the hotel to say they were unable to attend.

The hotel refunded monies but later found that the funds from the person booking has not reached their account.
PCSO Bunker said: “This does appear to be a scam.
“Please remain vigilant and contact action fraud if you feel you may have been a victim of this scam.”
