Generous punters filled buckets to help raise cash for needy dogs during a charity event at a Chapel St Leonard’s bar recently.
Staff at Bar Wicked put on a whole night of entertainment complete with real doggy guests from the charity Keith’s Rescue Dogs on Thursday, March 28.
The night managed to raise just shy of £250 for the charity which was put down to the kind donations from the customers and acts on the night.
“It was a great night, everyone enjoyed it. Even the ‘90s act gave half of their merchandise sales on the night to help, which was very much appreciated,” said Craig Perks for Bar Wicked.
Speaking before the night, Keith Smith Chairman of Keith’s Rescue Dogs said: “We are delighted that Bar Wicked have chosen our charity to support in their fundraising efforts throughout 2013.
The bar and its patrons also collected sponsorship money from a recent charity dog walk. Entertainment on the night was provided by professional dance act Ultra 90s, stilt walkers, fire eaters, novelty characters, street/break dancers and a magician for the evening, all supplied by Kim from Flamin’ hot entertainment.
