Bailiffs seen at Subway store in Skegness

CUSTOMERS have been left confused after seeing the Skegness Subway branch in Lumley Road, closed this morning.

Bailiffs visited the site during the night causing some concern of the future of the branch and employees’ jobs.

A notice has been left on the window instructing that bailiffs from Newbolds on behalf of Barclays bank had entered the Subway store today.

It also notified the licensee that “any attempt by you or your agents to enter the demised premises will result in criminal/civil proceedings being taken against you.”

The branch is a franchise-owned site leased to a tenant via Subway Reality Limited.

At present, a spokesperson for Subway is looking into the matter.
