An avid game fan swooped into the GAME store in the Hildreds Centre, Skegness today (Tuesday afternoon), dressed in a killer outfit, to purchase the new game in the popular Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Deon Downs, a pupil at Skegness Academy arrived in full assassin’s regalia to pick up a special edition copy of the new game, Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, pre-ordered and purchased by his mother.

Dressed as main character Edward Kenway, Deon made the costume himself with a little help from mother Denise.

It took him over a week to become the most fearsome pirate in Skegness.

After finally getting his hands on the eagerly awaited game, he can now set sail for action and step into the boots of a young and brash pirate captain, whose plundering ways pull him into the war between Templars and Assassins.

Deon, whose ambition is to be a games designer when he’s older, said: “The Assassins Creed games are my favourite because they teach you about history and it is an adventure where you can go anywhere. This game is set on pirate ships.”

Store manager, Rachel Peak and staff at the GAME Store said Deon’s costume was “awesome” and gave him an Assassin’s Creed Black Flag treasure chest to go in his bedroom.
