Armed Forces Day at the Moody Cow

A CHARITY fun day, raising funds for injured soldiers, has been organised to coincide with Armed Forces Day.

The Moody Cow pub in Ingoldmells has decided to show its support for British troops by hosting a variety of games, competitions and entertainment on Saturday.

Landlord Lee Sandland said: “The armed forces do a fantastic job and we’ve got quite a few ex-army boys who come to drink at the pub, so we thought we’d do our bit to celebrate Armed Forces Day.”

Starting at 3pm there will be bingo, lucky 13 cards, knock-out pool competitions, a meat raffle, a barbecue and karaoke, until late in the evening.

The event is hoped to raise funds for Help For Heroes, which Lee will also be supporting by completing a sponsored parachute jump with his daughter Danni-Lea and a customer Georgie Bicker.
