A DAUGHTER is preparing to plunge thousands of feet to help raise money for an RAF charity which is close to her heart.
Bella King and her growing team of adrenaline junkies are getting ready for a tandem skydive at Hibaldstow Airfield near Brigg where they are hoping to raise around £3,000 to support the RAF Benevolent Fund.
“This cause is very close to the hearts of my family with our dad having served as a spitfire pilot in the Second World War,” said Bella.
What is surprising is the fact that Bella has taken part in a skydive before with the team at Lowdes in Skegness where they managed to raise lots of cash for The Butterfly Hospice.
“I did a skydive before and I thought it would be an excellent way to raise funds again for such a worthy charity as those serviceman and women who have fought for our country, and the funds go towards helping both them and their families,” added Bella.
The Benevolent Fund provides a spectrum of care from those serving to their families.
And more people can join in on Bella’s fund raising mission before the big day on Sunday, August 26, as they need people to sign up by June 20 to confirm numbers.
“We need to confirm numbers so get in touch and we can book up now,” Bella continued.
“All people need to do is send their details via email to my sister Harriet who is helping to organise the event.”
To take part, send your age, weight and contact details to Harriet on email@example.com
All the booking details will then be confirmed before the event, as well as costs. To find out more and to donate, even if the jump itself doesn’t take your fancy, visit www.justgiving.com/teams/skydivewithbella
