CULTURE vultures have the chance to win tickets to the popular Wolds Words festival by demonstrating their knowledge of literature and the Olympics
Following the success of last year’s online quiz, which had entrants from all over the world, this year’s 100 question challenge was launched on Lincolnshire Day last Saturday.
Festival co-director David Lambert said: “Last year’s online quiz was a great success and seemed to capture the imagination of people from across the globe.”
An Olympic theme runs through the quiz in celebration of the 300 day countdown to the start of the 2012 Games.
The Lyric Lounge in Alford, which hosts many of the Wolds Wods events, will also play a part in the Igniting Ambition series of events that form part of the Cultural Olympiad.
Free tickets to some of the literary events being held throughout the festival will be offered to the winning entrants.
Wolds Words runs from October 19 to 23 in and around Alford and Louth featuring a host of poets and television celebrities.
