VIDEO: Volleyball England Beach Tour at Skegness

More than 2,000 people visited Central Beach in Skegness to watch the opening games of Volleyball England Beach Tour at the weekend.

Two days of action saw about 100 players from across the UK compete in the Grand Slam event.

Among the winners this year were Robin Miedzybrodzki and Taylor Wilson, who took the men’s title.

The women’s title was taken by Vicki Palmer and Jess Grimson who have both represented England in the past.

The event was hosted by Magna Vitae, a partner to East Lindsey District Council.

James Brindle, Magna Vitae’s director of development and partnerships, said: “The event went very well again, with many people watching the action and all ages having a go themselves.”

The Beach Volleyball tour will continue in Great Yarmouth, Weston Super-Mare and Weymouth with the Finals in Margate on 15-16 August.
