A grant of £160,000 had been awarded to King Edward VI Humanities College, in Spilsby, for its lunchtime facilities 10 years ago.

The funding would be used to provide more seats, modernise the dining room and servery, and improve the lunch menu.

The move was being made as the Government prepared to introduce new nutrition food standards for secondary schools.
