Fairy Dell in Skegness set to reopen Spring Bank Holiday

Visitors who may be worried by the neglected state of the Fairy Dell paddling pool in Skegness will be pleased to know there are plans to clean it up before reopening.

The attraction, which was built in the 1920's and has been popular with generations of children, is currently closed, with the pools empty and some rubbish thrown in the area.

However, East Lindsey District Council who operate the free facility, have reassured us all will be well for when it opens on May 31.

A spokesman said: "We’re planning to open the paddling pools for the Spring Bank Holiday.

"In advance of them opening, all pools will be thoroughly cleaned, with any required improvement and maintenance works undertaken too.

"The pools will then be regularly cleaned once they’ve opened up again."
