THE Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve south of Skegness is set to host two outdoor events for nature lovers in the coming week.
This Sunday, July 29, the centre will hold a ‘Waterbirds Arrival’ guided walk from 8.30am to 11am.
“This is a chance to see some of the spectacular water birds arriving at Gibraltar Point,” said a spokesperson. “Have a walk around with our bird expert to discover more.”
Participation on the walk is £2 for adults and £1 for children. Advance booking is advised. Call 01754 898 057 for details.
On Tuesday, July 31 the centre will also hold its latest Seawatch from 5pm to 7.30pm.
“This will be a chance to learn more about autumn seabirds and their movements around the Wash,” continued the spokesperson. “Birds you may see include terns, skuas, auks and gulls.
“Seawatch will be taking place on the beach, out from Mill Hill. Park at the beach car park and follow the path to the beach.”
The event is free.
Meanwhile, an ‘Opticron Binocular and Telescope Demonstration’ will also be held at the visitor centre on Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
