Festive favourite The Nutcracker is set to come to the Skegness stage next month, it has been announced.
After last year’s success, The State Ballet Academy of Belarus is back with the vibrant classical ballet, The Nutcracker – a family orientated production with a fairy tale element and some added glitz from the production’s beautiful new costumes.
This favourite ballet is coming to 24 venues across the UK - including the Embassy Theatre in Skegness on Tuesday, November 12.
“Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet has for generations enchanted audiences with its spectacular performance of music and dance,” said a spokesperson.
“It is based on the story ‘The Nutcracker and the King of Mice’ by E. T. A. Hoffman, which follows the adventures of a young girl, Marie, who is given a Nutcracker doll for Christmas and enters a dreamlike land of magic where she soon discovers her Nutcracker prince and dances with beautiful snowflakes.
“Both children and adults cannot help but be captivated by Marie’s miraculous adventures.
“There will be no surprise to any that this production will be of the most delicate, intimate and powerful kind.
“This company is known for its attention to detail and, more particularly, for its dramatisation in dance of the beauty that this ballet is known for,” they added.
The show will begin at 7.30pm on November 12. Tickets are £21 for adults, £19 for over 60s and £15.50 for children. Call 0845 674 0505.
