The New Orleans Club in Louth is promising that its New Year party this Saturday (January 5) will be the first event of many at the club in 2013.
The Queen Street band will again feature Brian Clarke as guest trumpet player and vocalist, guest drummer Phil Taylor together with the usual members of the band: Chris Belton on bass, Frank Baker on piano, Geoff Morris on banjo and Fred Everett on clarinet.
However, trombone player Colin Gordon is at present recovering from an operation so will not be able to lift heavy objects or play his trombone for several weeks.
“If the Christmas Party was anything to go by, this is sure to be a good night,” said a spokesperson.
“As usual with the New Year Party there will be a buffet and contributions by members will be appreciated.
“In addition, we would be most grateful to any members who can contribute prizes to the Grand Raffle.
“Advance Notice - the Thursday Night Band will be playing at the club on Thursday, January 11,” they added.
The New Orleans Club is located on Queen Street, Louth, and holds performances every Saturday night from 8pm until 10.30pm. Normal rates are £3 for members and £4 for non-members.
