Nature art for theatre

A preview event, showcasing work from professional artists, is set to take place on Saturday (February 23) at the Embassy Theatre Art Gallery.

The exhibition to be displayed, titled ‘In The Spirit Of Trees’ by artist John Lincoln (FRSA), draws influence from nature and his surroundings; this exhibition studies and interprets the beauty and diversity of trees in a contemporary and abstract manner.

As a professional artist, John works full time on his passion for the English countryside and natural form; exhibiting nationally.

Alongside the 2D pieces will be a selection of sculptures by contemporary glass artist Lynn Baker.

The designer and maker of hand blown and kiln formed studio glass and architectural panels works in both two and three dimensions plus work with both hot and cold glass.

Adding extra interest and a third dimension to the new exhibition is a series of limited edition contemporary photos by resident digital artist John Byford called ‘Memory of Trees.

John has a story to tell about each of the images and the time and place they were taken. The exhibition will be displayed from February 23 through until April 23.
