Fans of children’s favourite Hairy Maclary will have much to look forward to when ‘Hairy Maclary and Friends’ stops off at the Embassy Theatre in Skegness next week.

The special show will take to the stage on Tuesday, October 22 at 2pm.

“‘Out of the gate and off for a walk, went Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy’,” said a spokesperson. “Anyone with young children will recognise these immortal words instantly as the opening lines from the book ‘Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy’ by Lynley Dodd.

“This show features many of the characters from the books like Hercules Morse, as big as a horse - Bottomley Potts, covered in spots - Schnitzel von Krumm, with the very low tum and Scarface Claw, the toughest tomcat in town.

“With music, singing and several of your favourite Hairy Maclary stories, this show is a must for the whole family,” they added.

Launched at the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe, Hairy Maclary & Friends has toured extensively in the UK and Australia, including a Christmas season at the Sydney Opera House!

Reviews have been very strong.

Primary Times described the production as “... a vibrant, fun-filled show that cleverly brings Lynley Dodd’s much-loved children’s books to life”, while said, “HairyMaclary was fab, my nearly three-year-old practically levitated in excitement.”

Tickets cost £12.50 for adults, and £9.50 for over 60s and children.

Family tickets are also available, priced £33.50.
