The Hildreds Centre in Skegness is set to hold some Halloween fun for the little ‘uns next week.

The shopping centre is encouraging parents to bring their children down to the site on Thursday, October 31 from 3pm to 5pm for some spooky fancy dress fun.

The centre is asking children to dress up in Halloween costumes and take part in its specially devised ghost trail where they can trick or treat in a safe environment accompanied by their parents.

On the creepy ghost trail children will be tasked to look for a particular image of a ghost in each shop window.

The images indicate the stores that are taking part and the staff will also be in costumes.

Youngsters can then ‘trick or treat’ in the shops and collect a sweet reward.

Steve Andrews, the Hildreds’ deputy centre manager, said: “It’s not always safe for children to go trick or treating around their neighbourhood.

“By organising a ghost trail at The Hildreds we are giving youngsters a safe and controlled environment to get involved in some Halloween fun.

“There will also be a pumpkin head scarecrow wandering around the centre too just to add to the effect and visitors can see him in his haunted pumpkin patch, if they dare!”
