The Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve south of Skegness is set to host stargazing and bird watching events next week.

On Friday, November 22 the centre will host its latest astronomy event - “Stargazing: Exploring the Milky Way”

The event will run from 7pm to 9.30pm.

“Journey along the disk of our galaxy as we discover star clusters, nebulae, binary stars and much more,” said a spokesperson for the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, which runs the reserve.

Participation is £3.50 for adults and £2 per child and booking is essential on 01754 898057.

The following day, on Saturday, November 23 the site will hold a guided walk with an avian twist.

The Winter Birds Arrival event will run from 9am to 11am.

“The arrival of winter birds is well underway. Join our local expert on a tour of the reserve to watch these migrants before returning for soup at the Visitor Centre,” added the spokesperson.

The event is £2 for adults (or £5 with soup) and £1 per child (£4 with soup).
