The garden at Willow Cottage in Burgh le Marsh is set to open its gates to the public through the National Gardens Scheme on Friday (June 7) - and every Friday until August 30.

The home of Bob and Karen Ward on Gravel Pits Lane, it will open its garden from 2pm to 5pm.

“There are woodland walks, ponds, bridges, nooks and crannies. It’s a wildlife haven with many tranquil spots to alight and relax - a photographer’s heaven,” said a spokesperson.

“There is a Victorian greenhouse, vegetable patch, and chickens. And be sure to take tea on the terrace, with delicious home-made cakes from Aunt Polly’s kitchen.

“These remarkably generous garden owners are opening their garden on every Friday until August 30. They also open on July 20 and 21 so there’s no excuse to miss this wonderful garden,” they added.

Admission is £3 and children are free.

Home-made tea and produce and plants are for sale.

Dogs on short leads are welcome. Visitors are also welcome by appointment. Garden tours are at 3pm.
