Lincolnshire tyre firm manager celebrates 55 years' service

A manager at a Lincolnshire tyre firm is celebrating 55 years of continued service.

Ken Nicolson has worked for four generations of the family who started B A Bush & Son Ltd - founder Benjamin Arthur Bush, his son Ivor Bush and present day directors Nigel Bush, Ivor’s son, and Nigel’s two sons, Ben and Tom Bush.

Ken joined the firm in 1965 working as a tyre fitter in Horncastle, Bush Tyres current head office location.

In his long running career, which includes working in Skegness, Ken has made a lot of friends both inside and outside of the industry, partly due to his outgoing nature and friendly smile but also because of the wealth of knowledge he has in the tyre industry.

Ken has held a variety of key positions within the company during his service and still holds an active role of fleet management for commercial operations

As well as fleet operation work, Ken likes to keep a hands-on approach with his love of mechanics, a talent that greatly assists the firm's fleet of vehicles and service equipment.
