The winners have been announced in the coveted East Midlands Food and Drink Awards 2012 after a glittering ceremony at the weekend.
Celebrity Chef Aldo Zilli was the VIP host of the second annual presentation night, which was held at Greetham Valley on Sunday.
More than 180 guests attended the glittering awards ceremony and enjoyed a fabulous night of fantastic food prepared by the chefs at Greetham Valley Hotel, Gold and Conference Centre, all washed down by guest celeb Aldo entertaining all in his own inimitable style.
Organised by East Midlands Newspapers Ltd, the awards competition began in July and ran in 12 papers across the East Midlands - including the Standard.
“The winners of these prestigious food and drink Oscars were made to those establishments which received the most votes from their customers and readers throughout all titles within East Midlands Newspapers,” said a spokesperson.
“Literally thousands of votes have been received since the commencement of the competition earlier this summer.
“These truly great awards are a testimony to all of the fantastic places there are to eat and drink in the Lincolnshire/Rutland and Greater Peterborough areas – all winners and finalists should be very proud of their achievements.
