THE Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust is set to host a couple of events in the local area over the coming week.
First up, this Friday (October 14), the members of the Trust’s Alford and Mablethorpe Area Group will hold a talk about ‘Wild Borneo’ in Alford.
The event will take place in the Half Moon Hotel in West Street at 7.30pm.
“Roger Wardle visited Borneo and other parts of the other side of the world recently and has an impressive collection of photographs to show us,” said a spokesperson.
Then, on Sunday, October 16, the Gibraltar Point nature reserve will play host to an ‘Autumn Migration’ guided walk from 8.30am to 11am.
“Join our bird expert as we discover more about the migrating birds arriving at Gibraltar Point for the winter,” the spokesperson continued.
“This will be followed by an optional bowl of soup at a special discounted price.”
The cost of the walk is £2 for adults (or £5 with soup) or £1 for children (£4 with soup). Booking is essential on 01754 898 057.
