The Embassy Theatre has announced a star studded show of soul legends will be coming to the Roman Bank venue later this year.
Producer and TV personality David Gest’s Soul Legends Live Concert Festival, coming to the Embassy on Wednesday, October 15, is set to feature seven rhythm and blues artists who have collectively sold more than 100 million records worldwide.
They include Russell Thompkins JR and The New Stylistics, Sheila Ferguson of The Three Degrees and The Temptations complete with Grammy-winning lead singer Dennis Edwards.
The show will feature classics such as such as Let’s Hear It For The Boy, Me & Mrs Jones and It Takes Two.
Deniece Williams, Billy Paul, Kim Weston and Brenda Holloway will all be performing dynamic sets of their classics.
David said he is ‘thoroughly excited about coming to Skegness’.
He added: “Audiences are tired of going to shows where acts are advertised with no real lead singer left. This will be an amazing show with a nine piece band of some of the top musicians in the world.”
Tickets are £37 and go on sale on Friday at 10am and are available by calling 0845 674 0505, by visiting www.embas sytheatre.co.uk or at the box office.
