CINDERELLA will be entertaining the crowds at Spilsby Theatre all this week as pantomime time returns to town for the first occasion in years.

A talented cast from the Theatre of Now have devised an exciting and imaginative production of the classic fairy tale to enthral audiences young and old.

Cast member and theatre caretaker Jane Scott said: “We have brought the characters to life in a very special way and we will also be including all the usual panto fun and banter.

“We hope to see as many people as possible come to support the theatre and take this chance to have a look at what we are doing there.”

The Theatre of Now production company were also behind the rescue operation that saved the theatre from closure when they took it over last year.

They hope to create a jovial pantomime atmosphere filled with boos, hisses and cries of ‘he’s behind you’ while enhancing the tale with some imaginative improvisation.

Cinderella will be showing from 7pm every night up to and including Saturday, when there will be an additional matinee performance at 3pm.

All proceeds will go towards essential roof repairs and the removal of dry rot which is estimated to cost up to £2,000.

The theatre bar will be opening an hour before each performance to serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Tickets cost £7.50 for adults, and £5 for children and OAPs.
