What ever happened to Bobby, Laura, Norman and Sue?
Their story continues at the Embassy Theatre, in Skegness, on Monday.
Inspired by the smash hit multi-million selling album ‘Dreamboats and Petticoats’, Bill Kenwright and Laurie Mansfield, in association with Universal Music, present the sequel - Dreamboats and Miniskirts.
The first musical was a phenomenon, having played to more than two million people across the UK.
This time round it’s 1963, and the world is changing - Bobby and Laura’s single: ‘Dreamboats and Petticoats’ has not taken off, Norman and Sue have settled down to non-marital bliss - and a baby! But Ray and Donna seem blissfully happy.
The advent of ‘The Merseyside’ sound is inspirational, but will it inspire Bobby and Laura to have one more shot at stardom, Norman to ‘get off the drains’ and find the singing voice he’s longed for and Ray to realise his ambition to manage a top pop act?
All will be revealed in the sequel, with the same wit, charm, and great songs such as ‘Dreamboats and Petticoats’, with many of the songs coming from the next period in pop history.
Tickets for the show cost £20 and £15 for children.
Doors open 7.30pm.
