Students at Skegness Academy have had the chance to work with one of the biggest selling groups of all time.

The Drifters are offering local schools/colleges across the country a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of their forthcoming UK tour.

Lucky talented pupils will have the chance to perform live on stage with them as part of a choir, and compete to record live with them on music releases.

The group is offering 40 schools/colleges in the UK the opportunity to perform one song on stage with the group at selected dates on their forthcoming 70-date ‘60th Anniversary Diamond Dynasty World Tour’, which is coming to the Embassy Theatre Skegness on Saturday, May 18. Students at Skegness Academy had the chance to rehearse on Monday. Speaking before the day, line-up member Pierre Herelle said: “We are very much looking forward to working with the students and their music teacher.

“We have been completely overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and excitement of the students - it is a very special project to be involved in.”
