AN EIGHT-YEAR old piano prodigy from Skegness who was recently offered a rare place at a prestigious music college is set to share a stage with a famous pianist this weekend.

Molly Hunter-Clarke is set to appear alongside Lang Lang at London’s South Bank Centre on Sunday (May 22).

The appearance comes a week after it was announced that Molly has been offered a place at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

It’s a phenomenal achievement and come less than two years after she began playing at the Piano Academy in Skegness under the tuition of April Chapmen.

She has rocketed through the grades and is already working towards her grade five piano exam, which she will be taking shortly.

Sandra Narker, the principal of The Viking School, where Molly studies, said: “Molly is a lovely young girl who retains a humble nature despite possessing such amazing natural musicality.

“She is a credit to our school, and she has such a bright future ahead of her.”
