A talented Skegness pianist won the junior category at The Louth Male Voice Choir Young Musician Of The Year competition.

Nine year old Helena Kurzewska impressed the judges with her first two pieces to get through to the final where she went on to win the junior category. Her teacher Rachel Butler said: “Helena has been attending the Piano Academy in Skegness for four years and always puts 100 per cent into her music. Her determination to progress always shows and she certainly deserves the recognition.”

The competition, which took place last month, has developed over the last few years into one of the premier event for young musicians in East Lindsey.
