THE SKEGNESS Musical Theatre Company’s latest spectacular romp is set to take to the stage tomorrow (Thursday).
The group is set to tackle one of the world’s most-loved musicals - My Fair Lady.
Featuring such smash hits as “I Could Have Dance All Night” and “Get Me to the Church on Time” it famously hit the silver screen in 1964, with Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison in the leads.
A spokesperson said: “My Fair Lady is the show by which all others are measured. Based on Shaw’s play and Pascal’s movie “Pygmalion”, with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe.
“My Fair Lady is triumphant, with songs including: Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?, With A Little Bit Of Luck, The Rain In Spain, and I Could Have Danced All Night.
“It also features On The Street Where You Live, Get Me To The Church On Time and I’ve Grown Accustomed To Her Face.
“It’s no wonder everyone - not just Henry Higgins - falls in love with Eliza Doolittle,” they added.
The show will be held in the Embassy Theatre in Skegness from Thursday to Saturday (inclusive) at 7.30pm each night.
Tickets cost £12 for adults, £10 for over 60s and children. A family ticket, worth £35, is also available.
