Louth Choral Society is set to begin preparation for a new season of concerts - and it’s on the lookout for additional singers.
On Monday, September 2 the society is set to hold the first of its new season of rehearsals.
“This year’s music includes compositions marking the anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Britten, regarded by many as Britain’s greatest composer of the 20th Century, a magnificent masterpiece by Handel and some joyous songs and well-known favourites by Rogers and Hammerstein,” said a spokesperson.
“Louth Choral Society is a friendly and welcoming choir with over 90 singers but are always very keen to welcome new members. Singing experience is not the most important qualification for membership.
“More important is a love of music and an eagerness to share that with others.
“Rehearsals, which are enjoyable and fun, are held at the Salvation Army Community Centre, Church Street, Louth every Monday at 7.30pm,” they added.
