Pop princess Michelle Heaton will be the star guest at the grand opening of Fantasy Island’s new play area tomorrow (Saturday).
The Liberty X singer is due to cut the ribbon at 2pm, celebrating the official unveiling of the themepark’s Galactic Play Zone.
“We’re delighted to have such a popular pop star with us at Fantasy Island tomorrow,” said a spokesperson for resort.
“The new play area will offer hours of fun to our younger visitors and we couldn’t hope for a better guest to marks its grand opening than Michelle.”
After the opening, the 33-year-old TV personality will be posing for pictures and is then expected to ride on some of the rollercoaster before performing live at Scallywags from 9pm.
Yesterday she tweeted: “Hey guys, @fantasyislanduk what’s the weather like down there 2moz? “Shall we pack our sun cream or umbrellas.”
The Galactic Play Zone was named by Friskney youngster Ben Mowbray who won a year’s free pass to the resort through a competition run by the Standard earlier this year.
Situated on the third floor of Fantasy Island’s Pyramid attraction, the Galactic Play Zone has been billed as hours of fun for youngsters aged three to 11.
