THE KNIGHTS of Skirbeck stopped off at the Church Farm Village in Skegness at the weekend for two-days of dramatic historical re-enactments and entertaining skirmishes.

Everything from demonstrations of historical food preparation to medieval fighting techniques were showcased over the weekend.

A spokesperson for the Village said: “We think it went very well and fortunately the weather wasn’t bad.”

Meanwhile, the Village’s busy events schedule continues apace this weekend with an Amateur Radio Event on Saturday and Sunday.

The event is being held with the Fiskney and East Lincolnshire Communications Club.

They will be demonstrating amateur radio. Entry is free for the event.

“Please come and join us and speak to people from the local club about the hobby and the new museum,” said the spokesperson.

“Have a go at speaking to people all over the world via Morse code, single side band, FM and digital communication modes,” they added.
