An art exhibition featuring more than 200 works by talented local artists is currently on show as part of Skegness Carnival’s week-long programme of events.
Skegness Art Group’s 18th exhibition coinciding with the carnival festivities has been showing at St Mary’s Church, Winthorpe since Saturday from 11am to 5pm and will continue until Friday.
Chairman Sandra Haywood says the exhibition is the group’s greatest opportunity to display it work and a valuable chance to receive feedback from viewers.
“We’ve had a great response with quite a few visitors coming in each day including holidaymakers and residents and we’ve sold a number of pieces.”
The featured works have been created by group members and nonaffiliated artists in a variety of mediums and styles.
Entrance to the exhibition costs £1 which is split between the art group and St Mary’s.
