A farming heritage site in Skegness has launched its own free-to-download cookbook offering a taste of Lincolnshire’s agricultural history.
The simple cook book of traditional recipes is available to download from the Village, Church Farm’s website now.
Author Stephen Briggs, who devised the recipes while experimenting in the kitchen and ‘nosing’ through old cookbooks, hopes it provides an authentic account of what Church Farm’s former farm labourers may have eaten back in the 18th century.
“Many of the recipes in this book, I have made at the Village, Church Farm,” he said.
“The look on the public’s faces is priceless when they see the roaring fire, and smell the home baking.” The cookbook can be downloaded for free from www.churchfarmvillage.org.uk
