Tribute show with a twist

The sights and sounds of the rock '˜n' roll era will come twisting and shouting into the present day in Skegness this weekend.

Let’s Twist Again will play the resort’s Embassy Theatre, in Grand Parade, on Saturday at 7.30pm as part of a national tour.

The show, now in its fourth year, stars BBC Strictly Come Dancing lead singer Chris Madin who performs alongside his West End sweetheart Suzi Madin.

They are joined by a company of acclaimed performers to bring to the stage the greatest hits of the Fifties and Sixties.

Audience members can expect numbers by such iconic performers as Elvis Presley, Dusty Springfield, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Lulu, Sandie Shaw, Connie Francis, Neil Sedaka and many more.

To add to the nostalgic air, the show is set in an American diner.

A spokesman for the show said: “Together with your host with the most ‘Big’ Tony Tremendo, our stunning live band The Twisters, and some of the highest rated performers in the land, you’ll be ready to twist again!”

Tickets for the event are priced at £23.

Admission for children is available at £11.50.
