HUNDREDS of Skegness households, businesses and holiday visitors will have received a questionnaire from East Lindsey District Council seeking views on a new water play area for the former Festival Pavilion site.
The council also has a display at the Embassy Centre to show off its proposed plans.
The questionnaire and display will cost the council taxpayer hundreds if not thousands of pounds.
The district council will say this is a necessary consultation exercise. We say they are a disgraceful waste of resources.
In this week's Standard you can read our full comment and the latest news on the saga - and find out why Skegness could now be without a children's paddling pool for the 2005 season.
