Pantomime fit for a Queen

The Snow Queen will be performed at the Neverland Arts Centre, in Prince George Street, on Saturday, at 1pm and 4pm.

Adapted from the classic Hans Christian Anderson story of the same name, it is billed as a ‘fun family show with something for everyone in it’.

It tells of the story of a Goblin called Tolkien (played by Neverland Arts Centre’s managing director Gary Starr) and how he helps the Snow Queen to capture the souls of children by using tiny shards of a broken magic mirror to make them see nothing but darkness.

Landscapes look like boiled cabbage and everything becomes distorted.

Kai and Gerda are best friends and when Kai gets a shard of the mirror in his eye she sets about to rescue him from the clutches of the villainous Snow Queen.

Gary said: “This production has plenty of fun and laughter for the whole family, with song, dance and jokes a plenty in our specially created pantomime story that’s fun for the whole family.”
