A crackdown on overnight camping in coastal carparks will see new height barriers installed at Huttoft Car Terrace on Monday.
Lincolnshire County Council, working with the police, will lock the barriers in place at 9am, preventing any remaining unauthorised vehicles from leaving without contacting the authority.
Similar action has already been carried out at Marsh Yard, Anderby Creek, Chapel Six Marshes and Wolla Bank, which prevents camper vans or motor homes from entering, after many were staying on site for weeks or months on end.
Executive member for the environment, Coun Colin Davie, said: “Our car parks are a place day visitors can leave their vehicles when they come to enjoy the spectacular views of the Lincolnshire coastline,
“Lincolnshire County Council does not allow overnight camping at its car parks.
“There are plenty of camping and caravan sites nearby for people to sue which also benefits the local economy,
“We have spoken with people who are camping in Huttoft Car Terrace to make them aware of our plans and warning signs are in place.”
