To get a good grasp of their roles in an upcoming theatre production at The Embassy Theatre Skegness, the cast of Sweeney Todd, visited a Skegness barber’s of the same name recently.
They were promoting their take on the infamous homicidal career of Sweeney, the unjustly exiled barber, who first exacts revenge on the judge who covets his young wife and falsely imprisons him; yet allows his thirst for blood to expand to his unfortunate customers.
The cast were treat to an expert exhibition of how to wet shave by Skegness barber, Daniel Steadman, who was trained by his grandparents, who were head of the Barbering Association.
Fortunately, no one ended up in a meat pie and Sweeney Todd opens on Thursday night, March 13 to Saturday, March 15, starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets are on sale as at £14 for adults, £10 for children or £42 for a family ticket.
