Wainfleet working well in friendly success

WAINFLEET United played Skegness WM Club in their first friendly encounter and were victorious by a 3-0 scoreline.

The Wainfleet goals in the 3-0 success came from a Bob Jackson rocket, a powerful header by Gavin Howitt, and a bullet-like drive from Michael Parnham.

Wainfleet used two goalkeepers, one in each half, Joe Perry and Dan Simpson, both being unbeaten, and making splendid saves.

Wainfleet used substitute Royston Wilkinson at the start of the second half, and Andy Carter and Jason Carter, a little later on.

WAINFLEET United Reserves were put ahead by Tom Jenkins, with a header, before the first XI equalised through Royston Wilkinson.

A terrific drive from Gavin Howitt put the first XI 2-1 up.

In the second half, the first XI used substitutes Phil Simpson and Alex Clarke.

A shot from Andy Carter put the first XI 3-1 up, and shortly after, a terrific drive from Shaun Connolly made it 4-1.

A few minutes later, a goal from Will Britton reduced the score to 4-2 for the reserves, before Ryan Medley-Medcalf missed a penalty for the reserves.
