Two reasons for second string to celebrate

SKEGNESS Cricket Club seconds had a double winning weekend in division two of the South Lincs and Border League, last week.

The seasiders bowled out Thomas Cook for 117 before going on to win by three wickets.

The following day they travelled to Sleaford and, thanks to a knock of 75 not out from Alistair Ainsworth, and 94 from Pete Houghton, Skegness won by nine wickets.

Skegness are second in the table after this double success.

Skegness Cricket Club’s second eleven is riding high in Division Two of the South Lincs and Border League.

After two wins the previous weekend, the seconds were left kicking their heels on Saturday when Ropsley failed to raise a team and conceded the points.

This puts the seasiders on top of the table.
