Swifts under 14s start new season with a win

Swifts JFC 9-1 Hykeham Tigers Bees

SWIFTS got their new season off to a flying start in the Mid lincs Under 14s C league with Cameron Dunne finding the back of the visitors’ net within 45 seconds of the start.

On form C.K. Wilson calmly slotted home minutes later.

With half-time approaching, Dunne bagged another two for his first hat-trick of the season, before Swifts’ Joe Probert made it five-nil at the break.

After the restart a resilient eight-man Tigers worked hard to pin Swifts back but CK Wilson managed to calmly slot home for his second.

Dunne then made it seven midway through the second half.

Then Ellie Cunliffe found herself being marked closely in the visitors box, but she still managed to turn her shot home for her first goal of the season.

The tigers scored a conciliation goal after they beat the offside to deny Swifts a clean sheet.

Cameron Dunne finished the game off with Swifts’ ninth goal of the match.

The Seaview Carpets player of the match went to Swifts’ Jack Fulton.

Next week Swifts travel to Boston to face Mayflower youth in the League cup.
