The home team started strong and soon found themselves in front, with a great volley at the back post by CK Wilson after a brilliant cross by Cameron Dunne.

Grantham soon found the equaliser after a shot over Swifts Keeper.

Swifts failed to take many chances, including a one-on-one with the visitors’ keeper.

This allowed the visitors to get their noses in front; against the run of with play a close range tap in on 15 minutes.

With half-time approaching, Grantham made it 3-1 with a header.

With the last kick of the first half, the visitors were then awarded a penalty but failed to make it count as Pavel Laurenov made a great save.

After the restart, Grantham came out with their heads held high and were soon 4-1 up with a close range shot.

Despite Swifts having most of the possession they couldn’t find the back of the visitors’ net.

However, C K Wilson narrowed the gap for the home team after another cross, this time by Tyler Rice.Next week, Swifts will face their toughest match yet as they make a trip to top of the league Birchwood Colts
