Spilsby 3 Tetney Rovers 0

Lincs Junior County Cup

AFTER a tight first 45 minutes where chances were few and far between for both sides Spilsby immediately started the second half with some excellent movement.

This came especially from their new young talent Jordan Smith, who, playing in his first full season since being a regular scorer for the Juniors caused the Tetney defence all sorts of problems with his pace and direct running.

It was a clever pass from Jack Bache that sent Smith through after 55 minutes to round the keeper and lob the ball into the Tetney net to put Spilsby one up.

Five minutes later Jordan Smith ran through the Tetney defence to bury an unstoppable left foot shot past the keeper to score a superb individual goal.

Spilsby then controlled this Lincs Junior Cup match with Twigge and Marvell solid in defence. It was left to Adam Dales to score the third with a well placed shot into the corner of the net for an emphatic three nil win.
