Skegness Rugby Club are celebrating after their tremendous recent 8-30 victory over Chesterfield RFC saw the club promoted to Midlands division three.

It was a fantastic and much deserved achievement that cements the clubs recent success and development both on and off the pitch.

The club’s progress has been down to the hard work of all involved with the club at all levels, adult and junior, accompanied by a sound progressive committee.

Skegness RUFC aims to make this taste of success continue and if anyone at any age group or playing level would like to join the club as either a volunteer or player then please contact Andy Hill on 07917 648151.

The club hopes to continue its success against Cleethorpes on bank holiday Monday, May 6 as they meet in the Lincolnshire plate final.

The final is being held at Grimsby rugby club and victory here will see Skegness complete their most successful season in the clubs history.

The club’s AGM is being held on May 8 and the annual dinner dance on May 11.

SRUFC is looking forward to the challenges that the Midland 3 league will bring and the whole club will pull together to continue to enrich a developing rugby club.
